Captain Vegeto Characters
Captain Vegeto
Mathew is Captain Vegeto’s undercover name. In theory, he is the nephew of the mammoth rancher, Le Velu. This is why he acts as any normal nephew would when working with his uncle. He’s slow, lazy and an idler. Honestly, he really does not give a damn about his job and probably consumes more than what he produces. Mathew only eats milk and cheese because his ideals forbid him to eat any type of vegetable or plant. Mathew runs into danger of transforming every time he sees a plant because he has the urge to have a cup of coffee. Depending on the situation, this can be dangerous because it is a radical effect. As soon has Mathew drinks the coffee, he becomesCaptain Vegeto.
Matthew
He is Captain Vegeto.
Captain Vegeto is hyperactive, eloquent and audacious. He loves all the great heroes. He constantly quotes them and compares himself to them. He also tries to emulate their strength and agility with, according to him, spectacular results, although a bit ridiculous for the rest of humanity. He talks about plant life as if they were inoffensive creatures or as if it were a king that he owes obedience to. He is always with Gladiator the cat. Captain Vegeto must quickly find a solution to his problems being that the coffee effect only lasts about an hour. If he is not fast, Captain Vegeto can lose all his powers and become once again our lazy Matthew.
Le Velu (Hairy)
Matthew’s uncle. He owns a mammoth ranch that, as he believes it to be, is the most normal thing. He is worried about the most typical things any rancher would be in a world that is becoming more and more industrialized. Le Velu complains about the lack of grants, the lack of veterinarians, about the price of feed and all of this without noticing that everyone that surrounds him is astonished by
his mammoth ranch. He produces mammoth milk and wool being that he would never in his right mind kill one for meat. During his small moments of leisure, he dedicates his time to take care of his beloved bonsais. However, some imbecile called Captain Vegeto ruins his works of art.
Brunhilde
She is a kind and gentile girl that works as a florist. Captain Vegeto falls in love with her during a coup against the cut-flowers market. But the occupation of his sweetheart is not exactly the most appropriate one for his heroic mission. He has to make a big effort to see Brunehilde while all those poor flowers are being tortured in the shop. All those prisoner flowers cause him nausea. Most of the time when he is with Brunehilde, Captain Vegeto wears blinders…
Kiki
Kiki is a male mammoth, the best stud mammoth of the herd owned by Matthew’s uncle. Unfortunately, though, he is a chicken. Kiki is even afraid of its own shadow. A mouse, for him, is more dangerous than a big predator.
